Over 250 galleries from around the world will come together during the 2013 Miami Art Basel. This event annually gathers the most outstanding artistic creations by modern and contemporary masters. The show has established itself as one of the most important events, in terms of understanding the contemporary art scene, by featuring some of the best and most ambitious installations, paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs and videos. Their exhibitions have continuously stood out for the excellent quality of the work shown, as well as for their assistance records, which have brought together over 50,000 visitors.

Art Basel will begin on December 5 and end on the 8; visitors will be able to enjoy performances, public art, lectures, conferences, projects and several events that will take place in different parts of the city. The city will be filled by a multicultural and celebratory spirit since different exponents from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa will be present. There are few other opportunities to witness and enjoy such a wide range of creative expressions.

The exhibition’s calendar includes an important lecture by Olafur Eliasson, who will discuss Little Sun, an outstanding project in which the artist, in collaboration with several institutions, came up with a way to distribute low-cost electricity to regions that lacked it. Other important events include another lecture featuring Doug Aitken and Michelle Kuo, and Art History lectures like Brancusi in New York. Different international films like Nan Goldin – I Remember Your Face by Sabine Lidl will be shown, as well as an evening film program curated by David Gryn called Fantasia for Dissonant Harmonies.

These are some of the many events that make up  the packed agenda  of Art Basel Miami 2013 an amazing fair in a paradisical place, displaying the intense and fortunate activities of international galleries and creators.
