Inés Katzenstein has a Master’s from the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College, New York (2001), where she studied with a grant from Fundación Antorchas and the Fondo Nacional de las Artes. She has written extensively on contemporary art and curated exhibitions such as “Liliana Porter: Photography and Fiction” (Centro Cultural Recoleta, Buenos Aires, 2003) and “David Lamelas, Extranjero, Foreigner, Ètranger, Aüslander” (Museo Rufino Tamayo, Mexico, 2005). She has edited several books, including Listen, Here, Now!! Argentine Art of the Sixties: Writings of the Avant-Garde, The Museum of Modern Art, New York, 2004, which was translated into Spanish and published by MoMA in conjunction with Fundación Espigas and Fundación Proa (2007). She received an award for her essay on Pablo Siquier from the Argentine Association of Art Critics in 1997, and was awarded by the association again in 2006 for an interview with Marcelo Pombo.

 
She was the curator of the Argentine pavilion in the 52nd Venice Biennial, where she presented the project “Guillermo Kuitca, if I were winter itself.” She was also the co-curator of the Duty-Free Zone in the MERCOSUR Biennial, 2007. From 2004-2008, she worked as the curator at the MALBA-Constantini Foundation (the Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires), where she developed the contemporary art collection among her other projects.
 
She currently directs the art department at the Torcuato Di Tella University and is on the advisory committee of the publication Otra Parte de Artes y Letras.
