“What is exciting here is that we have fostered cultural potential as the anchor for the Aleph project … by pushing the limits of recreation, community, hotels and living spaces.” - Sir Norman Foster Live in a space that redefines urban living. Designed by London’s renowned Foster + Partners, Faena Properties’ stunning new Aleph residence applies sustainable standards and innovative use of space to become the heart of Buenos Aires’ rejuvenated port area. The building’s spaces are structured to complement contemporary porteño living, making maximum use of the city’s sunshine and the district’s large green spaces and proximity to water.

Puerto Madero is Buenos Aires’ former docks district. From the 19th Century to the mid-20th Century, it was a busy working port, essential to the export of goods from Argentina to the world. During the late 20th Century, the port fell into disuse, and become an abandoned barrio of rusting warehouses and empty factories. Since 1989, the city of Buenos Aires and corporate partners such as the Faena Group have revitalized the area, turning it into an arts district, ecological reserve, and high-end residential sector. The Aleph Residences continue this trend. The building is new, but, in respect for the district’s past, it is designed to fit seamlessly among the restored silos that line the waterfront. Combining modern techniques with classic porteño touches, Aleph embodies the spirit of the Puerto Madero.

The Los Molinos residences are situated in the buzzing heart of Puerto Madero’s contemporary art scene, surrounding the Faena Art Center. Originally built in 1908, the restored building respects the area’s busy past while looking to the future with floor-to-ceiling windows and bright views to the city and the river. The “Cathedral” below is a large commercial and artistic space, while the residences above are both open to the sunshine, and sheltered by a crystal train from the elements.

Originally built in 1908 to house one of Argentina’s first flour mills, the building that houses the Faena Arts Center offers a rich historical backdrop for the myriad expressions of contemporary art.The main exhibition space, located in what was once the mill’s machine room, has been painstakingly rebuilt while retaining original details from the early 1900s, when the mill turned out up to one thousand tons of ground wheat per day. Soaring ceilings, semicircular arches, bay windows and other hallmarks of turn-of-the-century industrial architecture serve to create a spacious, light-filled environment for a rotating array of international artists.

Located at the corner of Azucena Villaflor and Juana Manso, Faena Arts Center stands out on account of its architecture, its monumental steps and its large windows. The Arts Center has two floors measuring 3.60 and 9 meters in height, each extending over 630 sq.mt. The two rooms –that can be used independently or together– are equipped to meet the demands of the technical and building infrastructure required by contemporary art and also offer the quality of service and style of Faena Hotel.

Faena Hotel + Universe is within El Porteño Building, a Buenos Aires landmark, built in 1902 with bricks brought from Manchester to store the grains that would cross the ocean to feed the world. At that time, Buenos Aires was the “barn of the world” and also “the Paris of South America”. Conceived to the very last detail by Alan Faena, and designed by Philippe Starck, it features 90 rooms and 83 residences inspired in the stunning glow of the Belle Époque. The first and second floors shelter the Universe, an area that fosters the interaction among guests and visitors. Faena Hotel + Universe began as a dream: to recreate the Belle Époque and bring it back to Buenos Aires, establishing a new way to experience everyday life. Due to its unique style, there is no front desk. Instead, guests are welcomed by an Experience Manager®, whose mission is to make their dreams come true and to even exceed their expectations. This concept, solely created by Faena Hotel to provide its visitors with a special and tailor made service is always available to all guests
